Telecommunications company KT Corporation has announced that Suwon kt wiz Park has become the first AI-enabled professional sports stadium in South Korea.

KT holds naming rights to the ballpark, as well as owning its main occupier, KBO League baseball club KT Wiz. KT said it has renovated the venue into what it claims is now an ‘AI Stadium’ as part of the launch of the company’s artificial intelligence master brand, ‘K intelligence’.

Suwon kt wiz Park now utilises KT CCTV AI video analysis, providing real-time information on the levels of crowding in the stadium to spectators. In the ballpark’s skyboxes a smart ordering system, ‘Hi-Order’, has been introduced for the delivery of food and beverage straight to a fan’s seat.

In addition, an AI-based real-time translation service has been added to the gameday experience with a view to better accommodating spectators from outside South Korea.

To commemorate the launch of the AI Stadium, KT staged a show featuring 350 drones during KT Wiz’s opening home game of the 2025 KBO League season, a 4-3 defeat to Hanwha Eagles on Saturday.

KT said it plans to enable more people to experience K intelligence at the AI Stadium through real-time communication events between players and fans using AI human technology, along with the staging of generative AI customer experience events.
