Everton to introduce fan wall at new stadium

Everton has announced plans for a fan wall at its new stadium to celebrate popular figures from the club’s history and give supporters the chance to become a permanent part of the venue.

The initiative follows the success of Everton Way, a paved walkway outside of the new stadium being built on Bramley-Moore Dock.

The fan wall will feature a mosaic artwork made entirely of fan photos on the river-facing western side of the stadium. Named ‘The Originals’, the artwork will honour Everton players who have realised unique achievements while representing the club.

Fans from around the world have been invited to submit a photo for the wall, with the personal images to be pieced together to create the mosaic. Among the initial line-up of ‘Originals’ will be Dixie Dean, Alan Ball, Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey, Brian Labone, Bob Latchford, Graeme Sharp, Neville Southall, Kevin Campbell, Seamus Coleman and Tim Cahill.

Over the coming seasons, supporters will be given the chance to be involved in the selection of more players and club names to join the wall, as the mosaic expands. The initiative and the initial line-up of legends has been announced following consultation with fan groups.

Places on the fan wall are priced at £45 (€54/$59) per photo and are on sale to season ticket, hospitality and official members now, with a general sale to begin tomorrow (Tuesday). A range of keepsake mementos allowing supporters to celebrate having taken their place on the wall are also available, starting from £30.

Everton Stadium will have a capacity of 52,888. Everton will move into the stadium for the start of the 2025-26 season, although it is due to be completed in the coming months. Work on the stadium commenced in August 2021.

Last month, Everton announced a takeover deal had been agreed with The Friedkin Group, which also owns Italian club AS Roma.
